Starting from the trailhead you hike about 980 ft. elevation gain on switchbacks for a round trip hike of a little under 5 miles. (info from geohubby's sportstracker). Views all the way up are great, but at this spot, it got a Wow! from me. At the time of this listing, this brings you to the end of the Glassford Summit Trail where there are picnic benches. Hide is a little off the trail to keep it muggle free.
The cache container is a recycled cache GC6BTY0- thanks AeroMechAZ. We gave it a little TLC and put it back out in a new spot. Please bring along flat SWAG to fit in the tin. We didn't have anything so we left the plastic figure and a little logbook that was left from the old cache. We did leave $5. for FTF, $2. for STF, and a quarter for 3TF.
Please be prepared for the hike as it is out in the open. It is a well traveled trail with mile markers and various signs.
The cache is on ASTL and a recreation permit is available on the State Land Department's website in order to geocache there. Congrats to geoidnac for FTF and to azgoldseekers for STF!!!!
