Welcome to Cedarvale Park - Off Leash Area
After attending the GHMGC WInter Fun Event on Family Day today, we stopped at this park to check things out, and get in a little extra off leash time. This was our first visit to this park, all was very quiet here today. Good thing too, as Milli (the BugFinding Pooch) was exhausted.
Code of Conduct for Off Leash Area
Aggressive Dogs -> Animal Control (905) 877-6235
Remove collars with chains or spikes–other dogs can be hurt while playing.
No leashes inside the leash free zone.
“Scoop the Poop” and put the bag in the garbage can.
Watch your dog closely and be ready to take control of any situation. You are responsible for your dog.
Allow dogs off leash only within the designated area; (you can be fined up to$5,000.00 if your dog is off leash outside of the fenced designated area).
Dogs over 1 year old must be neutered to use the park.
Dogs should be fully vaccinated before entering the leash-free area. Puppies should have their 12-week shots and should be at least 4 months old before coming to a leash-free park.
Never use the leash-free area when your dog is in heat.
It is recommended that you not bring toys/frisbees to the leash-free zones (they can cause problems between dogs). If you do... be willing to share.
No children under 12 unaccompanied by an adult
The Cache:
You are looking for a Bison Tube [wrapped in black hockey tape], just outside of the park on the fence near the ground. Cache is not inside the dog park. However, if you have your own geo-pooch with you, you will likely get to visit the inside as well.
