Touchdown Park - Now a little History

This park got its name from the use of the area for football, the fact that the residents of the Calder neighborhood felt that they had really scored in getting their parks upgraded through the Neighbourhood Improvement Program, and because of its proximity to the nearby Edmonton Municipal Airport, where airplanes regularly touched down.  Established in 1978, Touchdown Park is located at 12845-125 Street, in the Calder neighborhood, and has an area of 0.49 ha.
