Welcome to the 3rd Annual Quackers Rising.
The May Long weekend kicks off the opening of the Lock System of the Historic Trent-Severn Waterway. Lock 1 Starting in Trenton, Ontario; And the system ends at Lock 45 @ Port Severn.
On the Lock System has two Lift locks: Lock 21: Peterborough @ Lock 36: Kirkfield. The only two lift locks in Canada. And there is a Rail Lock. Lock 44 @ Big Chute: Where Boats are LIFTED out of the water and railed up and down a hill.
With the Start of the opening of the Boat Lock System: Hope this wll help wake up your inner cacher from the winter slumber. Re-Aquaint with your fellow cacher. Welcome local/new/out of town cachers to the area and with luck see a boat or two go through the locks. Hope to see you here.
