Geocache Description:

The original Shrine Auditorium was built in 1906 by the Al Malaikah Shriners. It served as their home base and civic center until a fire burnt it down in 1920. In January 1926, the Shrine Auditorium as we currently know it, was rebuilt, reopened and has since become a Los Angeles landmark. It has hosted a myriad of events, including the Academy awards, musical acts such as Elvis and Jimi Hendrix, and was featured in the 1933 version of the movie 'King Kong' (scenes where Kong was manacled and displayed on stage).

The cache is not located at the Shrine, but as the title states, it's only a stones throw away. You'll be searching for an Altoids tin sized cache.

Note that this is a high muggle area, but with a bit of finesse the cache is easily obtainable. Also note, that there may be days in which Shrine events may render the cache inaccessible. Aside from that, there is metered and parking structures all around. To ensure others enjoy the hunt, please return cache as you found it.
