The event will take place from 9am - 9:30am at St George's Market in the main seating area in front of El Toro Grill (the one with the metal tables not picnic tables). There are several entrances into the market, I have marked the closest one to the event location as a trailhead. The FTF draw will take place at 9:25am with an unregistered FTF geocoin for the winner, but the log will still be available until 9:30, after which you can stay on and chat, peruse what the market has to offer or whatever takes your fancy. There are no access nor age restrictions so all are welcome, if you are a visitor in our fair city you are more than welcome to join. There's even free Wifi for you to log your attendance!
St Patrick's Day
17th March is the traditional death date of St Patrick, patron saint of Ireland. The day celebrates St Patrick, the arrival of Christianity in Ireland and all things generally associated with Ireland (and I'm sure a fair few that aren't really). Belfast will be marking the date with a parade followed by a free concert and St George's will have a range of additional activities including live traditional music and Irish dancing. More details can be found on the city council website. As it is likely to be busy, we strongly recommend arriving early in order to secure both your breakfast and somewhere to eat it by 9am.
St George's Market
St George’s Market was built between 1890 and 1896 and is one of Belfast’s oldest attractions. Weekly markets are held on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, there is no obligation to make a purchase to access or participate in the event.
