Welcome to LaSalette Park located in Bloomfield, CT. The town acquired 140 acres in 1991 to be preserved for conservation, recreation, and open space. You will be greeted by the Oliver Filley house which is being renovated by the town. Approximately 80 acres are farm fields that are used for hay and corn, and 60 acres that are woodland, a pond, and associated wetlands.
While hiking through the park please stay on the farm roads which run along the perimeter of the fields. You will encounter rocks, ruts, and mud along the way but nothing too severe. At your highest point stop to enjoy the views of the Hartford skyline and the hills to the north. It is a snowshoe friendly terrain and all the caches should be snow friendly.
Parking is available at the main driveway on Mountain Avenue. If the LaSalette driveway is blocked with snow parking is available Hawk Hill Farm on Duncaster Road. The LaSalette Park caches and the Hawk Hill Farm caches can be done from either parking area.
This cache is located near the Oliver Filley house and should be an easy find.
