Geocache Description:

The Cache

A 450ml snap top box in a camo bag.

The Irritation

P is for Pointless Stages – the Multi Cache has its place, particularly when there are several places of interest within a small area or when geocaches are already placed in a locality. However, my blood pressure rises when I have traipsed all over the vicinity, performed Post Graduate Calculus to find the co-ordinates, lost all enjoyment of the site in question to end up with a nano hidden next to my car. Half an hour of my life lost for one find, and a miserly little one at that.

From O bear left to follow footpath to road. Cross over to follow lane signposted to Kynaston / Hentland. Uphill section to next  few caches - take care as narrow lane used by farm traffic.

The Walk

A series of 26 traditional geocaches which can be completed in any order or direction. If you have yet to find the existing geocaches in the area you can add 3 Church Micro Multis, A Fine Pair Multi and a further Multi cache at the footbridge along the route to complete 31 geocaches over a circular walk of approximately 6 miles. The Sellack footbridge over the river will need to be crossed as part of the walk, some people may find this dauting. You will also need to cross some stiles, so not good for wheels, and be aware that there is some road walking if you are accompanied by children, dogs or distracted geocachers. Parts of the walk include riverside paths which can obviously flood at certain times of the year. Take this into consideration and only tackle those sections when it is safe to do so.

The Parking

The given off road parking listed on ‘Cache A’ is for 2 or 3 cars close to Hoarwithy Road Bridge near to the beginning of a footpath. There are several other possible places around the series, but please park with consideration for local residents and other road users, including farm vehicles.

The Reasons Behind the Series

There are many things that irritate me. This series allowed me to get a few off my chest.

Some geocachers enjoy completing Challenges. One of these includes finding a geocache for each letter of the alphabet. If you find the entire series, you can tick that one off as well. So stop being grumpy and get caching.
