This geocache is located at Claytor Lake State Park, placed with permission, 6620 Ben H. Bolen Drive, Dublin, Virginia. Claytor Lake State Park is 472 acres in size with three miles of pristine shoreline to enjoy. One of the main features is the 4,500 acre Claytor Lake that is 21 miles in length. Countless opportunities for water fun are available, including a wonderful beach area where you and your family or friends can enjoy splashing and playing in the lake giving that coastal feel. If you love boating, there are endless ways to enjoy it. There is a well maintained boat launch allowing you to put your boat right in the water in the state park and park your vehicle close by. There are boat rentals available also. If you are an angler, like Little Joe, then have your valid fishing license, bait and pole ready to go in search of the "big one" who may or may not get away. Come spend a few hours or a few days at this great Virginia State Park. There are so many different choices if you want to stay overnight in your tent, RV or even a cabin stay.
Little Joe loves fishing at any of the fishing piers or platform. He usually has some TALL fish tales to share when he's finished for the day about the one that got away, but always has a good time talking with others enjoying the outdoors.
You will be looking for a hide-a-key container with log only. You will need to bring your own pen. This is a muggle-rich area at any given time of year, especially nice sunny days, so please use lots of stealth and replace cache back in original location. Should be a easy find and you don't have to get wet!
Congratulations to yumahokie for being FTF.
