Geocache Description:

This cache is going to be archived on Monday 10th August

We are archiving all of our 100+ Yorkshire caches.
We'd love you to come and find any caches you can before that date.

Although we encourage you to take as much swag as possible before the caches disappear, please do NOT take the cache itself. Cachers are still trying to find our caches and, once we archive them, we're hoping to bring them in ourselves.

We have had reports that yellow men have been infiltrating our caches.

portrait of yellow man

This is a recent photo of one of the men. They all have the following characteristics: They're yellow, appear to be remarkably flexible and are always smiling. Reports suggest that there are currently 6 yellow men hiding amongst our caches.

Your quest, should you choose to accept it, is to work out which caches the yellow men have tried to blend into. Be warned, one of our former field operatives tried to gain information from a yellow man. She has little memory of what occured, but 3 days later the agent was found lying in a field; grinning up at the sky, talking inanely about hypnotic smiling faces. Thankfully she has now recovered, but you should remember upon approach and in your logs, not to give any indication that you know they are anything other than normal cache objects.

One thing our operative did have in her possession upon awakening, which might be of use to you, is a torn piece of paper with the following scribblings:

Do not divulge this code to anyone. Remember that it leads to our greatest treasure. Our lives will never be the same again if that falls into the wrong hands...

Perhaps working out the answer to the code and thus discovering the yellow mens' "greatest treasure" will lead us to the source of their abilities. From there we can hopefully stop them from doing anything more nefarious in the future.
To aid you in your hunt we have set up a bookmark list showing the locations of all of the caches mentioned in the note. We have added the details from the yellow mens' note to form an easily printable dossier.

This cache is a 3.5 difficulty because of the amount of legwork you have to do in order to find it. The actual cache container is a camouflaged, clip lock tub that should be closer to a 2 difficulty to find once at Ground Zero.

If you have previously visited any of the caches on the list and can't remember if there was a little yellow man there or not, please send us a message via the message center and we'll let you know.

Checksum=21
(add all of the 6 separate digits from G and H up and they will total 21 if you have the sum correct)
