Strangled Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

draconta: Park is very frequently inhabited by what appears to be homeless people and I consider it not safe to search there. Hopefully, this one can be resurrected in the near future.

Geocache Description:

Searching will bring you to Johnie McKeithen Park in Deerfield Beach.  A very well kept and nice little park bordering on Hillsboro Canal to the north with many beautiful trees, a walking path with exercise stations, a pavilion, two small playgrounds and a small dock on the north side.  There are two entrances to the park; the closest to this hide being the one at intersection of NW 1st Terrace and NW 5th Street but it can be accessed from the other entrance on Deerfield Avenue and NE 7th Court as well.  Plenty of parking at either entrance. Sign says park open "dawn to dusk".

Please bring your own pen or pencil as there is only room in the container for a log sheet.  I have lived in Deerfield Beach for quite a number of years and did not know that this park existed until searching for another geocache.

Congrats to -DOLFINANDO- for being FTF!
