At the time of publication, there were many of the common cache sizes within a 10 mile radius of GZ, but there there were only eight large caches within a 40 mile radius! This cache was placed to increase the number of large caches for anyone wishing to improve their tally of badges - see owner photo.
Ornithologists may be lucky enough to spot kingfishers, tree-creepers, grey wagtails, bullfinches, long-tailed tits, or many of the more common species of garden birds and waterfowl. The reason for one of the attributes is that the parent swans and geese can be very protective during the breeding season. Otters and squirrels have been seen around the reserve and we once saw a fox sleeping on a swans nest, after the cygnets had hatched! Please list any sightings in your log. You may even be lucky enough to see a rat !
Good luck !!
