Geocache Description:

'The Bebe Ammo Can' was a term coined through social media when a cacher found a mint tin placed by me, The Bebes. I think it accurately captures the love hate relationship we have with this commonplace and all-too-often used container. Basically, have a laugh when you find this one and just think about being one cache closer to your next favourite point...

"From now on 'mint tin' is a banned description... Everyone must use 'The Bebe Ammo Can.' I might even place a new cache to help spread the word. In fact, everyone should!" -The Bebes

After I'd posted the above joke on a social media page Coastblue beat me to it with The Bebe Ammo Can - Fairfield GC7J8ZE which was quickly followed by Alephroom's The Bebe Ammo Can - Marsfield GC7JFA9

It's time for a Bebe Ammo Can by The Bebes.

LEICHHARDT began its existence as a number of land grants. In particular two brothers Hugh and John Piper had a number of large grants between them. Hugh Piper established "Piperston". This estate was bought in 1846 by Walter Beames who was a friend of Ludwig Leichhardt. Beames assisted Leichhardt with provisions for his explorations and he also changed the name of "Piperston" to Leichhardt after his friend.

Known as Little Italy after an influx of Italian migrants in the late 1940's, Norton Street is particular still has plenty of Italian eateries, explore the area and eat well.
