To the west of Syros's two famous hills of Ano Syros and Vrondado lies a third hill, home to the area known as Kaminia. While it may not be as prominent or picturesque as it two siblings, it is an interesting place to visit.
The free bus service that runs in Ermoupoli will take you all year to Neapolis and higher up to Kaminia. You can wander its quiet residential streets and stop at a kafenio for a coffee or a glass of wine.
Near the top, you will find the church of Evaggelistria (Ευαγγελίστρια) which, if open, is worth a visit. You will find the cache, a small plastic container with a logbook, just outside the church. Please bring your own pen for signing.
