La Garbatella è nata nel 1918 ed è stata a lungo considerata una borgata popolare e un po' malfamata, oggi però si è ripresa con gli interessi, è diventata Rione, il primo fuori le mura, vedendo così riconosciuta la sua valenza storica e culturale.
Si possono trovare molte fonti in rete che ne descrivono la bellezza, l'architettura e i monumenti, quindi non mi soffermerò su questo, mi interessa invece raccontarvi i suoi luoghi cinematografici.
Non è stato facile trovare un posto dove nascondere la cache, il quartiere è "ben coperto", vi consiglio infatti di approfittare e cercare anche le altre, per arricchire il vostro paniere e conoscere così anche la storia del Rione.

wp 1 - Il piccolo parco è stato dedicato a Maurizio Di Lorenzo, in arte Maurizio Arena, il bulletto Romolo protagonista del film: "Poveri ma belli" del 1957 ed è dedicata le targa apposta sulla facciata gialla della casa natale, in cui abita tuttora la sorella Rossana famosa tra l'altro per aver interpretato la moglie buzzicona di Alberto Sordi nell'episodio "La camera in Le coppie" del 1970, molto amata nel quartiere e conosciuta anche come Sora Garbatella.
wp 2 - Enzo Staiola è il bambino con gli occhioni grandi e il viso triste del film "Ladri di biciclette" del 1948, al Lotto 9 visse con la sua famiglia all'epoca del film, oggi ultra settantenne vive in Piazza Albini.
wp 3 - Qui potete ammirare il cinema Palladium comparso nel film: "Vado a vivere da solo" del 1982 cinema a luci rosse davanti dove si ferma il protagonista Jerri Calà.
