Witches Night:
Walpurgis Night: is observed throughout Europe with local variations. Walpurgis, is when witches are said to hold a large celebration on Brocken (the highest peak in the Harz mountain range). In many areas the tradition is to have bonfires to fend off those witches. The bonfire celebrations are often considered as big of a holiday as New Years eve or Christmas eve. Some areas also consider this to be the ushering out of the cold winter weather and the welcoming of the warmer summer weather.
This is a family friendly event, all ages young and old are welcome to attend!

The Marshmallow Roast:
We aren't planning anything to flashy for this event, but what we are planning to do is have a marshmallow roast!   WSGA will be supplying regular marshmallows, chocolate bars and the graham crackers, if you want to bring something extra, for example: flavored marshmallows, or a topping feel free to bring along enough to share.  We will have a limited number of roasting sticks available, but feel free to bring your own.  We'll use the meeting room stash the supplies, but we are planning to spend as much time as possible at the firepit, and we'll have an additional heater out there too.  If the weather turns extremely rainy, the event will still go on, we'll just spend more time inside socializing.

The Location of the event:
We will be in the Rose Room and have the firepit out back on the patio.  The Rose Room is located below and behind the Duvall Visitor Center.  There is a dedicated parking lot behind the visitor center off of Riverside avenue, there you will be right in front of the patio and the Rose Room.  Please be aware Riverside avenue is a one street traveling south so from main street, you will want to turn down the hill on Ne Cherry Street, Riverside avenue will be your first left.  Alternatively you can park on main street and walk down a short flight of stairs to the north of the visitor center.  The visitor center will be closed by the time the event starts.

Things you might want to bring along:
- We will have a few sticks for roasting Marshmallows, but you may want your own
- We will have a few chairs, but to be assured a seat out at the fire you may want your own
- Trackables to trade or discover
- Your caching stories, or witching stories or both!

Other stuff we got going on:
As Always we'll have an area for you to discover trackables and for trading.  At some point during the evening we be holding a raffle as well.  There is also a geocache located on the patio where we will have the fire at.  That cache is one of the first caches placed by SirKarp, and is in honor of his Grandmother Rose, the Duvall Librarian until 1977.

RSVP: When you log your will attend, please let us know how many folks you'll be bringing with you so your hosts know how much Graham cracker, chocolate bars and marshmallows to bring.  If you have another favorite topping please feel free to bring enough to share, because we'd love to try it.
