Aare tutvustab ühte vanemat mõisa Järvamaal. Sargvere mõisa barokkstiilis peahoone ehitati 1760. aastatel, mil mõis kuulus Erich Helmich von Kaulbarsile. Mõisa esimene omanik oli tollase Esna mõisniku Otto Magnus von Esseni tütar Christine Hedwig, kes oli abielus Kirna mõisniku Hans Heinrich von Ferseniga. Sargvere mõisa ajaloo muudab huvitavaks see, et mõisa pärandati edasi vaid naisliinis ja naised on ju kavalad!
Kahekorruselises kivihoones on säilinud ka rokokoostiilis stukklagesid. Hoone ees oli suur auväljak ja seda ümbritses segastiilis park. Pargis kasvab Eesti jämedaim Harilik Saar. Aarde juurest näedki Sa Saarepuud.
Pärast võõrandamist tegutses mõisahoones kool. Hiljem on seal asunud raamatukogu ja praegu Sargvere mõisa muuseum.
Alates 2003.a. tegutseb mõisas MTÜ Sargvere Maakultuuri Edendamise Selts. Mõisa ja parki on restaureeritud SAPARD, PRIA ja KIK projektidest, toetanud on Muinsuskaitseamet ja Paide Vallavalitsus.
Cache introduces you one of the oldest manors in Järva county. The grand early classicist mansion of Sargvere Manor that also has some baroque features was completed in 1765. Interesting part in the history of the manor is fact, that it was inherited only in female line and women are tricky! In the park, from the cache you can see Sargvere ashtree, which is the thickest in Estonia and likely to be about 250 years old.
The manor building was used by the Sargvere Basic School from 1920 to 2002. The manor has been in the use of the Sargvere Society for Promotion of Rural Culture since 2003. Four history rooms have been set up at the initiative of the Society that introduce the history of Sargvere Manor, the school and surrounding villages.
