Meeting the Locals

When I first began geocaching, I cached entirely on my own. This is probably how most people start out. The more I cached, the more familiar I became with CO names, but I still hadn’t met anyone.
North
It was not until I went to my first event (a CITO) that I started to meet other cachers. The first cachers I met were a husband and wife team: FISHING BEAR & CO. who later encouraged me to go to my next event put on by another husband and wife team, TeamPhoenix421, I may have met Cache*Hopper then as well, but I don’t remember.
If I did meet her, I probably met her husband Fun-gi as well. I know for sure I sat by CACHING_IT_IN2 and Liverlips
Looking back on it, salz69 was probably there as well, but I do not think Wanderer1620 was.
I’ve only seen him at an event or two.Note: 2 is the last number in the north coords.

Actually the first time I met him, he was going after one of my caches with TriGamma. I saw them and went out to talk to them for a bit.
Meeting cachers is a lot of fun. I enjoyed putting faces to names and it made going to events all the more fun. This is why, when I held my first non-CITO event, I was glad to meet elwood1 because I had seen his name on many of the caches I had found.
I know kkooll2 was there, my son jgerbs and parker219 was as well.
Wait, he wasn’t at that event, he was at the first CITO I hosted. Boy was I nervous hosting that event because I wasn’t sure if anyone would come. I met a lot of great cachers there: Onieyax, Jqline16, PrincessTommo, Uadioda and Banditsowner.
I’ve also taken my daughter agerbs to many events as well. If you see her, ask her about her geocoin that you can discover.

There is Jo2Cats, ClydePMasterson, butterflytat, ktcruis, Zombetty, Kirk8, Debbie Sellers and Croston3. This area has a lot of great cachers.
