All hides have been placed on the river side of the old railroad right of way that is now used as a fishing access road below John Day Dam. None have been placed on the north side of the road below the existing railroad right of way. The road may be accessed from either the west side from Maryhill or the east side from the John Day Dam access road.
The family sedan will work find along the gravel road. Just take it slow and keep an eye out for other vehicle fishing traffic.
Look before you reach as this is snake country during the warmer months.
This road used to be the location of the SP&S Railroad that ran between Wishram to Pasco. The railroad was relocated higher along the river due to the flooding of the original line after John Day Dam was completed.
