This cache replaces the original Echo Pointer, the first cache we ever hid. Unfortunately, it was muggled several times, the last time it was muggled we were unable to replace it in time before it was archived.
This pleasant park is situated in bushland on the shores of Middle Harbour. Echo Point Park is Ku-ring-gai's only park with water frontage and boasts a beach, mangroves and Aboriginal heritage sites. It is on the site of the first orchard and farm on Middle Harbour. The park and the Two Creeks walking track are popular with walkers and picnicers at weekends.
There are extensive stone walking tracks, steps, walls and terraced gardens constructed through unemployment relief schemes during the 1930's depression. Well known Australian author Henry Lawson wrote about it and Sydney artist Conrad Martens sketched this park.
A leisurely stroll through the park reveals more than 1500 years of history starting with Aboriginal middens which can still be seen there, together with the remains of the old Roseville Baths and Roseville Bridge.
There is a playground close to GZ for the geo-kiddies.
You will only need to take a few steps off the path to find this cache, but it is popular with muggles at weekends, so stealth will be required! You are looking for a 1 litre sistema box.
There is a small sandy beach about 30m down through the bushland below the cache, where both humans and their dogs enjoy the water in a quiet and peaceful environment and enjoy the scenic views.
