Warning: Gun hunting for deer is usually the first 2 full weeks in November. Bow hunters could be in here starting in October. You may be better off to come earlier, or later. Wear blaze orange if you do decide to do come during the season.
A great battle was fought here and unfortunately this Autobot fell by the hands of the Decepticons.
During the battle, he lost his Energon Cube, which you must find and sign.
You must start your journey at at the posted coordinates (N 45° 11.603' W075° 53.464') and pay your respects to the downed Autobot (and solve a field puzzle here...). To find the location of the lost Energon Cube (container), you must navigate from the posted coordinates to the following coordinates (after solving the riddles):
N 45° 11.6(A+2)(B+E-7)' W 075° 53.3(C-1)(D-F-4)'
Look at the pictures below to solve for A, B, C, D.
A = The digital root of the name of the Autobot shown on the top left. (hint: 7 letters, starts with a "B")
B = The digital root of the name of the yellow casette on the left. (hint: hint: 8 letters, starts with a "S")
C = The digital root of the name of the Decepticon on the top right. (hint: 9 letters, starts with a "S")
D = The digital root of the name of the black casette on the right. (hint: 6 letters, starts with a "R")

Observe the remains of the deceased Autobot (at the posted coordinates) and answer the following questions. Note: When standing on the trail, facing the "rubble" (to the north), the Autobot is on the left (west):
E [FIELD PUZZLE] = If the Autobot is a car, then E is 8, however if the Autobot is a truck (or at least the 'front' part of a truck), then E is 2.
F [FIELD PUZZLE] = If the Autobot is 'normal side up', then F is 3, however if the Autobot is upside down (i.e. wheels facing up), then F is 5.
Notes:
- The total hike to find the Transformer and the cache, and to then make your way back to the car should be under 2km.
- If you park on the suggested roadside parking and walk to the Autobot/cache, you may feel like you are trespassing, however this is actually the Rideau trail that happens to be right beside someone's house.
- At times this trail can be very wet and muddy, so bring rubber boots to be safe.
Be sure to private message me if you know of any other undiscovered Autobot burial grounds (old cars/trucks/motorcycles/skidoos or random scraps of metal) in, or near, Ottawa ;) - and don't forget to 'favorite' these if you are enjoying the series.
