Welcome to Lake Macquarie!
You are invited to attend a welcome event to wind down after a long day of travelling and caching, and meet other geocachers converging on Lake Macquarie over the weekend. Details are as follows:
- Time: 4:00pm to 5:30pm
- Venue: Morisset Country Club (walking distance from Morisset Showground)
As a bonus for attending, some early information about the proposed major geocaching event to be held in the Canberra region over Easter 2019 will be available.
Drinks will be available at the Club, but no food.
After the event, attendees may decide to grab dinner at the Club (kitchen opens at 5:30pm), or elsewhere. There are many restaurants and cafés nearby (some with excellent reviews), but you will need to check about opening hours on Good Friday.
Please log your “will attend” as soon as possible so we can inform the Club of likely numbers.
UPDATE 2
The club has offered a short menu for attendees to pre-order. Selections for the pre-ordered meals have now closed and 90 meal orders have been forwarded to the club! Payments for these orders will be made to the club directly upon arrival and meals will be available from 5:30pm. Any further meal requests may be ordered at the club upon arrival or separate arrangements made.
