Geocache Description:


A Flash-Mob Event to celebrate an item of clothing dear to both Aussies and Kiwis.

“Gumboots”

The Event will be held at the posted Coordinates on March the 31st between 12 noon and 12:30pm and will be hosted by Wellington Cacher Sarah – Infoferret.

Wellington the Capital City of New Zealand is named after the Duke of Wellington. Gumboots are often referred to as Wellington Boots or “Wellies”

The comedian and satirist John Clarke who sadly passed away last year was an icon on both sides of the Tasman, he came to fame as Fred Dagg in the 1970’s one of his most well know songs was If “it weren’t for your Gumboots"

So if you can find and a pair of Gummies or Wellies put them on and come a long (If you can’t come along anyway).
