Welcome to St. Marys and the next few caches placed in memory of my heart dog, Bandit ♥
St. Marys is also known as "The Stone Town" due to its long history of limestone quarrying. Many of its buildings are constructed of the beautiful local limestone as are, quite appropriately, the large "St. Marys" markers on all the roads leading into this lovely small town.
I'm not a "New Years resolution" person but for some reason I did make one in 2014 - to walk 1,000 kms with my best buddy Bandit. We happily and easily met that goal and one of the mini-goals within it which was to walk to all corners of town and take a picture of him with all the stone markers. Bandit continues to welcome you now by inviting you to find the caches made in his memory.
Due to a nearby existing cache I couldn't place this one as close to the marker as I would have liked but you will still be able to see it from where the cache is hidden. Cache is a well hidden small camo'd pill type bottle containing a log sheet (BYOP), a cool stone marble for the FTF, and a dime from heaven taped to the bottom (please leave as is).
Congrats to Knightwatchman, IKKI and Cargoman on their shared FTF!
