O Camiño Inglés empeza no porto de Curuxeiras, ao pé do barrio de Ferrol Vello. Este barrio é a orixe da cidade e está habitado desde os tempos da idade do Ferro. O barrio conserva a súa traza medieval, coas súas estreitas rúas adaptadas á orografía. Cando a cidade empezou medrar, nos tempos da Ilustración, Ferrol Vello deixou de ser o centro da urbe para ser unha barriada máis, a vinculada coa actividade mariñeira e portuaria. Foi declaro Ben de Interese Cultural o 10 de febreiro de 2011.

El Camino Inglés empieza en el puerto de Curuxeiras, al pie del barrio de Ferrol Vello. Este barrio es el origen de la ciudad y está habitado desde los tiempos de la Edad de Hierro. El barrio conserva su traza medieval, con sus estrechas calles adaptadas a la orografía. Cuando la ciudad empezó a crecer, en los tiempos de la Ilustración, Ferrol Vello dejó de ser el centro de la urbe para ser una barriada más, la vinculada con la actividad marinera y portuaria. Fue declarado BIC el 10 de febrero de 2011.

The Camino Inglés (English Way) starts at the port of Curuxeiras, near the district of Ferrol Vello. This district is the origin of the city and it has been inhabited since the Iron Age. The district has retained its medieval layout with its narrow streets adapted to the orography. When the city started to grow at the time of the Enlightenment, Ferrol Vello ceased to be the centre of the city to become just another district related with maritime and port activity. It was declared Heritage of Cultural Interest on February 10th 2011.
