St Mary the Virgin, Bearley.

There has been a church on the present site for over 800 years. St. Mary's began as  a Chapel of Ease, whose rights were given by Sir William de Burle to Bordesley Abbey in 1189. These were then given, in 1221, by John de Burle, To the prior of "Wotton Wawen". At the Reformation, when the Abbeys were suppressed, these rights passed to King's College, Cambridge. From May 1929 the patronage of the living passed to the Bishop of Coventry.

The Church is a "single cell" structure with the Nave dating back to the 12th Century and the Chancel back to the 13th or 14th Century. The octagonal font is believed to be 15th Century. The building was extensively rebuilt in 1875 when the brick tower was altered, windows opened up and new buttresses added.

More details can be found on the Church Lych gate notice board, and on-line in Wikipedia.
