Sedgefield has built a number of 'tortoise towers', with the Slow Town Pledge on them. The Pledge lists the various requirements of being part of the Cittaslow movement. The Sedge Pledge cache series is based on this Pledge. Sedge Pledge 2 cache relates to several of the Pledge requirements, as the cache is located on the edge of the village green. The Sedge Slow Town Festival is held here and it is a celebration of all things Slow Town. Its a perfect place of tranquility overlooking the lagoon, that comes to life once a year in celebration of all things Sedgefield.
The green is an open green space, where dogs are walked, children play, taking a liesurely walk to breath in the fresh air. If the Cachers decided to do all of the Sedge Pledge series they will be taken on a journey of beauty.
