This was originally a a mystery cache set by the 1st Metheringham Scouts as part of the work towards their Geocaching badges so it has already been found several times. It has now been changed to a traditional.
This cache is a good dash 'n' cache as it can be accessed from the the road at the end of the Dunston railway bridge. Placed by the 1st Metheringham Scouts as one of the requirements to earn the Geocaching badge, the Scouts had to learn all about geocaching, including how the GPS system works, and then make and set caches. Originally they set 3 caches with two containing clues to find this one. The cache container is small with room for a few small items of geo-swag or a couple of trackables. The Scouts also own a Travel Bug, which can be viewed here: https://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=6532553
