The Bob Hunter Memorial Park is a gem of hiking trails through forest and meadowlands. Dedicated to the conservation of the environment, Bob Hunter was a Greenpeace co-founder, and this Park is a fitting memorial to the man.
It was with my friend, part of TheBees17, that I first discovered this wonderful area, and wanted to share it with others. We both agreed that it's a gem of a greenspace, where one can declutter the mind and just enjoy peace among the suburbs. And go "gadding about", as she likes to say!
At time of this publication, the Park is under the jurisdiction of the Toronto Region Conservation Authority. Permission has been obtained. However, action is currently being taken to include it in the Rouge National Urban Park as part of Parks Canada.
