This multicache is based on the #signsofpenrith project by Eden Arts (more info below). 20 of these signs were placed around Penrith, Cumbria in 2015. At the time of setting this cache (March 2018) there are 14 left, you will be guided around 13 of the remaining signs to collect information that will enable you to find the geocache at the end.

The trail starts at the published coordinates. If you want to, please take a photo of yourself with the first #signofpenrith and post it with your log (This is not a requirement, merely a request)

Locate the sign - How many CAPITAL letters are on this sign (Ignore the EdenArts Logo) = A

Once you have collected all the letter values you will find the cache at the following location N54 K(B+F-J).HEG W002 CD.(G-L)IA

Checksum A+(B=5)+C+D+E+F+G+H+I+J+K+L=57

Well done to mallykay on the FTF

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More Information about #signsofpenrith When you drive down the road, there are signs in place to direct traffic, there are signs on footpaths giving us directions, there are signs for our safety – in fact let’s face it there are signs for pretty much every aspect of our lives… their meanings are clear and concise and keep everything running smoothly…or do they… A group of like-minded artists decided to challenge this status quo and have a bit of fun into the bargain by devising a series of thought provoking, irreverent and cheeky street signs… which they have liberally placed around a Cumbrian town. ‘SIGNS’ is a project specially created for the historic market town of Penrith, in Cumbria, it is a product of the musings and ramblings five artists and writers: Robyn Woolston – is a visual artist who works across installation, photography, moving image and print. Dan Thompson – is a social artist and writer living in Margate. His work is about people and places. David Gaffney – is a prolific and inspired 21st century writer known for his ‘Flash Fiction’ short stories. Adrian Lochhead – is the director of Eden Arts, responsible for creating cutting edge events like C-Art, Picnic Cinema and Winter Droving, he is also a bit of an artist, film buff and theatre director. Bernadette Russell – is a performer and writer. She has created shows for National Theatre, Southbank Centre and Birmingham Rep amongst others. The artist created ‘SIGNS’, have been strategically dotted about throughout the historic Cumbrian market town, where they have already started to capture the imagination – cropping up on social media including Twitter and Facebook why not join in the fun… get out and get snapping with the signs. Upload your results to Twitter @eden_arts or using the hashtag #signsofpenrith
