Det nye fuglekikkertårnet skal bidra til å bevare og øke aktiviteten på Strandpromenaden. Tanken er at det skal bli en møteplass for både de som vil nyte matpakken sin i ro og mak, og de som vil ta fram kikkerten for å se på det rike fuglelivet i Lågendeltaet naturreservat.
