Geocache Description:

Lets meet at Mill Lake Park (Picnic Shelter #4) on April 8 from 10 am - 10:30 am.

Pluto was discovered by Clyde Tombaugh in 1930 and was considered to be the ninth planet from the sun.  Its status as a planet was questioned following the discovery of several objects of similiar size in the Kuiper belt.  In 2005, Eris a dwarf planet which is 27% more massive than Pluto, was discovered.  In 2006 Pluto was reclassified as a dwarf planet.

Achieve 500 points (individually) on your friend league to "discover" Pluto and become an "Official Space Explorer".  If you achieve the goal of 500 points you will have earned all 10 of the new geocaching souvenirs.

What is the Friend League?

The Friend League is a leaderboard that shows you and your friends’ geocaching activity. Earn points when you log a cache, attend an event, or complete another geocaching task. The number of points vary depending on the task at hand.

The Friend League displays the total points you collect during the promotion. You can also see how many points your friends have earned during the promotion. The Friend League will reset to zero on Monday, April 9 at noon UTC.
