This is my very first hide and it is in memory of my Mother Barbara. In all of Fiordland the Takitimu Mountain Range was her all time favourite and the only range she could remember the name of. She called them 'her' mountains.
This is an easy park and grab or you could park in the main car park and take a little stroll. Is wheelchair friendly and as my Mum was a Teacher I have made it easy for Children to find. You are able to camp around the main car park but there are no toilets here. There are toilets about 2kms up the road towards Te Anau on the left hand side of the road in a reserve. Is also a great place for fishing but only in season.
There is room for a few little swaps but no room for a pen so please bring your own.
