Geocache Description:

By the time the Avon River approaches Stratford it is a meandering gentle giant composed mainly of pebble banks.
The GZ coordinates take you to a low-lying bridge on Stewarts Lane that occasionally is covered by water during the winter and spring melts.
This spot is a favourite of GizaGal and I.    During the summer this bridge is a great place to go swimming.  Often there are a handful of cars here on hot January days.  Like any great Australian river, the water is turbid but clean.  The Avon here has gently sloping banks, with generally smooth rocks on the river bed, although I prefer to wear crocs.  On either side of the bridge, the river is often more than 6 feet deep, although caution and precautionary reconnaissance should always be carried before blindly jumping off the bridge.

To find and sign this cache you are going to get wet -- unless you are extremely skilful on a lie low.
A torch may be handy too.

The best time to find this cache is a 30+ degree day in summer.    :-)

We request 'Newbies' to take note of the attributes. If you do not enter the water to search for this cache, then a 'Write Note' log is preferred to a 'DNF' log, please.

WARNING = If the water is touching the underside of the bridge I would recommend you give it a miss.

Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log.

Congratulations to mcsee&petal for their FTF.
