Welcome to Bloomingdale! This "hidden" park is the pride of the neighborhood.
Crispus Attucks Park is named in honor of Crispus Attucks, an African American former slave and the first person to lose his life in the Boston Massacre, heralding the beginning of the American Revolution.
The park is located in the alley complex behind the unit blocks of U and V Sts. NW and the 2000 blocks of First and North Capitol Sts. NW. This property once belonged to the C&P Telephone company. It was abandoned for many years, and is now owned by the community.
Please use stealth. Things can get pretty busy here on the weekends.
