This noncamoed small container is a tribute to the WWII era B-17 Flying Fortress "Aluminum Overcast" Maintained and flown by the Experimental Aircraft Association. Coventry Woods has soo much history. If it could talk, the stories it would tell. However, you can read about some of this areas history on the standing educational information plaques at the creek crossing and around the park. A lot of the plaque work and all of the informational Kiosks in Coventry Woods were built as Eagle Scout Projects. Take a walk around and see what you can find behind the ? posts. Compared to what it was when North Coventry Township first bought the property somewhere around 2009, Volunteers and paid folks alike have done such a remarkable job restoring and maintaining this property. Check out North Coventry Township's Web page, northcoventry.us, for the two annual community events that are held here yearly. One in Spring and one in fall.
