The San Tin area sees the early settlers in Hong Kong. The clan with the surname "Man", who are decendents of the Chinese general Man Tin Cheung, has resided in the area since Song Dynasty in China. Many houses in the San Tin village are of hundreds of years old - it makes a great visit.
The Tai Fu Tai Mansion, where the geocache is located, was the residence of a rich family. Today, it has been converted to a museum about the history of the area. Make sure you check out the immaculate colourful crafting on the roofs and doors of the mansion.
Geocache:- The cache is available only during the opening hour of Tai Fu Tai. Look for a round window with rusty bars (NB its not in the main house). After finding the cache, carefully place the geocache back in position, please do not drop it or lose it. Thank you.

Monday, Wednesday to Sunday: 9am – 1pm and 2pm – 5pm. Closed on Tuesdays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and the first three days of the Chinese New Year.
