Üllés község határába, egy szép kis erdőbe hívlak Benneteket ládázni. Az erdő a Bohn család nevéhez köthető, akikről az alábbi kis érdekességet ajánlom a figyelmetekbe:
Bécsi, párizsi és nottinghami tanulmányai után Szegeden kezdte rakosgatni életének építőköveit Bohn József. A nagykikindai születésű sváb ember jó hírű vendéglőt nyitott a tágas városban a század elején, s kisebb földeket vásárolt a határban.
Bohn a trianoni békediktátum után eladta horgos-királyhalmi és ludaspusztai szőlőbirtokát, valamint a szegedi Vár utcai, jól menő vendéglőjét is, hogy azoknak árából 160 katasztrális holdas, homoki birtokot vásároljon Árpádközponton (a mai Üllésen) és itt megalapította a Bohn-gazdaságot. Az így megszerzett bozótos, homokbuckás területen rövid idő alatt egy virágzó gazdaság bontakozott ki. Itt telepített szőlőt és gyümölcsöst, majd összefogott vejével, Irsai M. Józseffel. 1930-ban nemesítette az Irsai Olivérnek keresztelt új szőlőfajtát a Pozsonyi fehér és a Csabagyöngye nevű szőlők keresztezésével. Irsai Olivérről mint kedvenc unokáról Bohn József neveztette el a szőlőt Kocsis Pál nemesítővel.
A telepített erdőben fenyők illetve lombhullató fák élnek egymás mellett, otthont adva az erdő egyéb élővilágának, valamint kellemes kirándulást, sétát nyújtva a természet kedvelőinek.

I invite you for a little trip near the village of Üllés. The trip is in a forest that was named after the Bohn family.
After studying in Vienna, Paris and Nottingham, József Bohn started his life in Szeged at the beginning of the 20th century. He opened a reputable restaurant in Szeged and bought smaller lands near the city.
Bohn sold the vineyards of Horgos-Királyhalmi and Ludaspuszta, as well as the famous restaurant in Vár street in Szeged to buy estates at Árpádközpont (today's Üllés) and founded the Bohn farm here. A prosperous farm emerged in a short time in this shrubby, sandy area. Here he planted grapes and all kind of fruits, and in 1930 with the help of his widow, József Irsai M. they brewed a new grape variety called Irsai Olivér by crossing the vineyards of Pozsonyi white and Csabagyöngye. József Bohn named Irsai Olivér from his favorite grandchild.
The planted pine woods and deciduous trees are living side by side, giving home to the wildlife and offering pleasant hike to nature lovers.
