An extreme fear or dislike of Belanglo State Forest
Do you suffer from Belanglophobia?!
Unfortunately, Belanglo State Forest has a terrible stigma attached to it because of it’s dark history, however if you can see beyond that, it’s a beautiful area teeming with wildlife that’s only 90 minutes away from Sydney! In addition, due to the stigma and fear of Belanglo, there are far less muggles than you would normally find in similar areas so close to a major city; it's an awesome place! Lately we’ve found ourselves visiting Belanglo State Forest more and more, camping at the wonderful Daly’s Clearing and exploring many of the fun four wheel drive tracks in the area. We’ve only just scratched the surface (well, you wouldn't want to do any more than scratch the surface!) and will undoubtedly explore a lot more over the coming months.

Those that suffer from acrophobia or vertigo are probably better off not attempting this one, but if you do, you will be rewarded with magnificent views. The cache is hidden on the edge of a cliff and it’s a long way down! Okay, it’s actually not really that bad, but we wanted to keep this cache within the 'phobia' theme. Having said that, you will need to be sensible and sure-footed and we do not advise this one in wet weather. Please keep an eye on geokiddies and geodogs too as there are some long drops nearby.
This cache is only a short bush bash of around 120 metres to a beautiful location known to rock climbers as “The Chopping Block”.
