Botley Playing Fields have had a refurbishment over the last couple of years, particularly with the playground. The Botley Playing Fields Association are still fundraising to improve the site even further. The site has frequent visitors by families and dog walkers alike, with a public footpath cutting through from Botley Road and out the other towards The Braid. The site also has frequent events each year, including the annual Donkey Derby event, held in June. There closest bus stop is less than half a mile away, at Chesham Grammar School. Frequent buses will take you to Hemel Hempstead or Uxbridge (730), dependant on direction of travel and High Wycombe (1/1a) and are both operated by Carousel Buses. This event will be held on 28th April 2018 between 10am and 12pm. The floor is pretty level in most areas (one corner is slightly uneven) and the whole area is covered in grass, therefore it may not be suitable for wheelchair users. Here are plenty of nearby caches and I’m happy for you to go looking for these while you littler pick. However, please do return with the sticks and the bags of litter before you leave (I’ve borrowed these from the local council. Also, please do stay for a chat, BYO picnic and swap some trackables if you wish.
