Luigi is the slightly younger but taller fraternal twin brother of Mario. He is often Mario sidekick.

Luigi first appeared in the 1983 arcade game Mario Bros. as the character controlled by the second player.

Luigi always seems nervous and timid but is good-natured and not as quick to anger as his more famous brother. He too is a Plumber like his brother.
