Spring is almost here and I've hidden another cache for you to find. Whether this is your first visit to Richfield Heritage Preserve or you've been here before, I hope you enjoy hiking the trails, listening to the sounds of nature, and soaking up the historic and natural environment around you. On the way to this cache you'll see some fascinating remnants of bygone days when this area was a bustling Girl Scout Camp known as Camp Crowell Hilaka.
Things to keep in mind:
- park maps can be located online or in the parking area
- the park is open dawn to dusk and the front gate operates on a timer - don't get locked in!
- this is a historical park with ongoing preservation and conservation efforts (respect the old structures)
This easy cache (small brown pill bottle) is hidden just a few feet from the Crescent Trail. Beware of muggles, mud, puddles, and thorns. Poison ivy is present in the area of the cache but by being careful it can be avoided (don't touch the hairy ropes).
