MARY's GARDEN
The Garden
This cache is just off to the side of this quaint little Garden of Peace at St Augustine's Hospital. The little garden was built as a place of reflection for patients as well as family members who needed some place to gather themselves. The little garden used to be at the edge of the main building and overlooked the Glenwood area, harbour and Bluff before later additions on the Eastern side of the building has somewhat taken away the scenery that was on offer, but in a way provided for an even greater secluded area. There is a memorial which reads "Mary, Mother of God"
The Cache
Due to its location, here is some navigation to assist you... Either park in the road or the designated parking area on the far side towards the helipad and make your way to the Main Entrance of St Augustine's. Walk straight through reception towards the cardiac section lower down. As you exit the main building, look for a sign for the Prayer Room and turn right. Now you are close enough to do the rest yourself....
Please use stealth, as some patients come and sit nearby for fresh air. You will also find gardeners, cleaners and security in the area, so please be discreet. Although the area is open 24/7 it might be a good idea to limit your visit to hospital times. Have fun
