Continuing on the footpath from Martlesham Heath retail park to The Moon & Sixpence and Waldringfield, you will pass the giant satellite receivers in the aptly named BT Adastral Park that look as though they belong in a Star Wars movie. However, as you come to the end of Bt Land you will notice the old WW2 Control Tower and the runaway is seen ahead. People regularly use the runway as a short cut to Waldringfield and the notices are ambiguous as to rights of way. My friend Brian doesn't feel the need to enter this area and is content to sit by the entrance and contemplate the stories this area could tell. UPDATE : Brian keeps wandering off..or maybe he looked too realistic for the birds.. so his friend ROCKY has taken over guard duties.
