Before the Great War, The Mill was a steel mill for a metal foundry in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh. The features of The Mill include numerous furnaces and presses used to melt metal and make them into ingots, along with a valuable ammo press. After the bombs dropped, The Mill was taken over by Ashur and converted into a metal shop for The Pitt. The workers of The Mill are wastelanders captured by slavers and sold to Ashur's army. The slaves are forced to work by The Pitt Raiders until they die from exhaustion or worse yet, inhale enough radiation smog to turn into Wildmen or Trogs. The Lone Wanderer enters The Pitt trying to free a certain slave and is thrown into the drama of The Pitt. After spending time in The Pitt and gathering information, the Lone Wanderer can later make the choice of killing Ashur and freeing all of the slaves, or continue to let The Pitt be. Yes this mill isn't exactly a steel mill but these mills are an important part of our community.
