On the way to Bringle Ferry Road Bridge you will see several Historic Church's. St. Mattew's Lutheran Church was first organized in 1838 by Rev. Benjamin Arey. The corner stone of the existing Church Building was laid in 1882 and the Belfry was erected in 1891.
