PRE-AMBLE
This event is based on last years "The Sun Goes Down" Caching Rally, the date has moved slightly to allow a more accessible day of the week - It takes place on a Saturday,

Saturday the 23rd June 2018 from 04:00 to 05:00

You do not have to take part in the Rally to attend the event as this event is from 04:00 to 05:00 at the Reigate Hill Viewing point

Hopefully the sun will be seen to rise, certainly over the trees that obscure the horizon point at dawn in the direction of the sun actually appears from

Summary of the Rally / Challenge
To get as many caches as you can in 16 hours and 38 Minutes (That is how long the sun is up)
The Sun appears at 04:43
The Start Opens at 04:00 until 05:00 (Depending on the number of entrants)
Start at Reigate Hill – N 51° 15.360 W 000° 11.520
Sunset – 21:21
The Finish of the Challenge / Rally is from 20:00 to 21:30
– Finishing at Jack and Jill Windmills, Clayton - N 50° 54.310 W 000° 08.910

In order to take part and be eligible for the trophy you will need to
1. See the Sunrise at Reigate Hill at N 51° 15.360 W 000° 11.520 between 04:00 and 05:00
2. Be there with a Travel Bug that is clean, has no mileage attributed to it (If you do not have one I can provide one)
3. A Commemorative Wood Coin will be attached to the TB
4. Teams - A Team can consist of a number of different caching identities
5. The number of members in the team is required in order to ensure each team member gets a wood coin.

Note about Teams - Those people declaring themselves as a team must stay together

- Generally games played in teams require all members of the team to be in close proximity at all times

- In this case all team members must be with 150m of each other at all times

6. At the start and finish odometer reading from the vehicle of each team will be required

PRE-START
Say you are going to attend the event by logging your “Will Attend” intention on the Cache Page - GC72BJE
Saying whether you will take part as an individual or as a part of a team, if so how many
That will generate you a start time – Initially, a random minute between 04:00 and 05:00

AT THE START

Upon arrival at the start you will be given
1:- A Team Logging Sheet
2:- A Start Time (Hopefully this will be published prior to the Event)
3:- A Score Sheet (A sheet detailing the points obtained for each cache logged during the Challenge / Rally)
4:- A Solstice Challenge Wood Coin to which the TB is to be attached
5:- A Solstice Challenge Wood Coin, one for each Team Member, a Challenge / Rally Souvenir

Prior to departure the team will need to provide
An odometer reading from a vehicle if it is to be used to transport the team while gathering caches
(If you (your team) is/are walking or cycling all the way to the finish then an odometer reading is not required)

Challenge / Rally Departure
Teams / Individuals will leave at minute intervals to reduce the effect of a mass departure
Challenge / Rally Proceedure
The Team Logging Sheet, a manual method of keeping a track of the caches that have been visited and logged by the tema

– This completed, will be handed in at the finish

- This will have a copy of the points to be gained by each cache type logged

- This will have your team finish time on (The Time you have to hand the sheet in at (Jack and Jill Windmills, Clayton, - N 50° 54.310 W 000° 08.910).

A Wood Coin to commemorate the event,

One for each team member (Please advise the number people that will be in the team)
One with a hole in it through which the TB tag will be secured, thereby creating the token by which teams can be tracked during the rally
Either I can supply the trackable already connected to the wood coin
Or
You can come with a pre activated TB (with no mileage attributed to it) and we will attach it to the Wood Coin before the start (Arrive early)

When your start time arrives you will be free to leave the Start box and make your way to Jack and Jill Windmill Car Park
