I went to a spring training game last year for my favorite team and recorded some of the innings before getting frustrated and leaving early. Turns out they got on track and won the game, but they sure started out poorly. Here is what I recorded before leaving:
Williams leads off the first with a base hit. Washington then hits a hard liner to the second baseman who makes the grab and doubles up Williams at first. Jones then pops up to third to end the inning.
Next inning they send Kerrigan to bat who promptly flies to right. Martinez walks on four pitches. Smith lines to second. Then Jackson hits a grounder to second which is shoveled to the shortstop at second for the force out.
In the third Ortiz leads off and lines out to right. Pitcher Ryan attempts a bunt but instead pops out to the catcher. Williams then gets his second base hit. Washington steps up to bat and takes a pitch that gets away from the catcher. Williams heads for second but the catcher is able to recover and fire to the shortstop who makes the tag at second to ending the inning.
In the fourth, Washington is back up and pops up to third. Kerrigan follows with a liner to second and Martinez ends the inning with a soft liner to the shortstop. After this 1-2-3 inning I had seen enough.
Have fun and be safe.
