Geocache Description:


The original 13 colonies started out the United States on the number 13 as a symbol of America. The original flag had 13 stars and now have a star for each state. The Great Seal of the United States is an example of using the number 13 to represent the country. As you inspect it you will see 13 in many places. There are 13 stripes on the eagle’s shield, 13 arrows in the eagle’s claws, 13 olives and 13 olive leaves on the branch clutched it the other claw. There are 13 stars in the wreath and 13 written letters in the banner.
