From an early age Lucky had a knack for picking locks. Having this talent, many times it had gotten him into trouble. Some called him “Un- Lucky the lock picker” due to his unfortunate mishaps using his talent.
So one spring night a few years back, he had been picking locks in the city. It was late but he decided to take a walk around beautiful Belle Isle. He happened on a car that appeared to be abandoned as it was off the road a bit and so late at night. Not able to help himself, he picked open the trunk lock. He was shocked to find a container full of cash. Believing his luck had finally changed for the good, he took the large container. It was very full and very heavy. Knowing he could not carry it all the way back to his home, he decided to hide it on the island and come back with his car in the daytime to get it to his home. To his Luck, he had been collecting the padlocks from his earlier travels this night.
So that he could easily re-trace his steps, he decided to place padlocks along his path that night so when he returned in the daylight to claim the container, he could easily find it.
He headed north west along the paved trail and walked about 1300 feet from the locked car. He crossed the bridge and then began to start placing his padlock trail After the 11th was in place, he went to a combination style of the hide. Not using a traditional combination method, he went; left, to the end and then left, and on your left to lock your car.
He then headed east, crossing the Belle Isle locks. Now a search for another lock and from it you are a Detroit area code number of steps from the hiding spot. You will cross the road and take a short walk down the path. When you spot the lock number which is the number of times lock mentioned in this story, you are very near the stash of cache.
